SELVA International was founded by Ph.D. ecologists. Our mission is to empower people to protect the environment. We do this by building alliances that support education and on the ground projects that are scientifically and economically sound. Unlike many nonprofits, we don't waste money on expensive conservation projects dependent on outside managers. Instead, our goal is to help people conserve their own natural resources. We believe this is the long-term, more sustainable solution to environmental problems. SELVA is Conservation Done Right.
